Chinese singer and actor Luhan plays a man born to a family of grave robbers in “Time Raiders“. He is a former member of the Korean-Chinese boy group Exo and an awardee at the the 2014 Baidu Moments Conference and the 2015 iQiyi Night.

Following Luhan’s decision to initiate a lawsuit against his former agency SM Entertainment, he made a powerful statement in late 2014 by securing major accolades in his home country. Demonstrating his immense popularity and commercial influence, the star took home prestigious honors at two high-profile industry events in Beijing within weeks of each other.

On November 19, 2014, Luhan attended the 2014 Baidu Moments Conference in Beijing, China, an annual gathering hosted by China’s largest search portal. Marking only his second official public appearance since filing his legal contract termination suit, the artist was honored as The Most Valuable Male Star. Actress Li Bingbing earned the female equivalent of the award.

During Luhan’s acceptance speech, he expressed deep gratitude toward his supporters. He declared, “It is thanks to all my fans that I can stand here today.”

On December 6, 2014, Luhan continued his impressive streak by attending the 2015 iQiyi Night event in Beijing. He accepted the Asia Idol Popularity Award from Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming.

Addressing the audience, Luhan reflected on the significance of the moment during a pivotal transition in his career. He stated, “I want to thank iQiyi for giving me this award. I also wish to thank my fans who have supported me.”

“Without your efforts and perseverance, I would not be here today,” Luhan continued. “I hope this award can be the mark of a beginning. I will keep working hard. Thank you.”

Released in China on January 8, 2015, “20 Once Again” marked Luhan’s film debut. On September 10, 2015, his first digital album “Reloaded I” was released.

Born in Haidian, Beijing, China, Luhan turned 26 on April 20, 2016. He is one of the lead actors in “Time Raiders”, which was released in China by Le Vision Pictures on August 5, 2016.

Written by Jun Du, Wu Sun, Uncle Three, Xiaotai Wang and Zhangqing Ye and directed by Daniel Lee, the film is based on the 2007 online novel series “Daomu Biji” by Xue Lei, a native of Jiashan County, Zhejiang, China. The Mandarin film is 123 minutes long.

Joining Luhan in the main cast are Jing Boran, Ma Sichun and Mallika Sherawat. Among their co-stars are Bo Peng, Boyu Wang, Jack Tu, Jing Zhang, Jingmin Luo, Jingjing Qu, Ka-nin Ngo, Muran Lin, Peng Lin, Philip Keung, Robert Gilabert Cuenca, Tin-Chiu Hung, Vanni Corbellini, Wang Jingchun, Weijun Ma, Weisen Liu, Wenming Chu, Xuan He, Xushi Fang, Yu Li and Yuqing Gao.
