A day after losing to Jeff Horn of Australia, Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines took to Facebook to congratulate the new WBO welterweight champion. The undefeated Australian boxer defeated the Filipino boxing legend via a controversial unanimous decision given by judges Chris Flores, Ramon Cerdan and Waleska Roldan.
“Tough fight but win or lose, always know that I give everything I’ve got for the Lord, my family, my country and my fans!” Pacquiao captioned a photo of himself with his wife Jinkee Pacquiao. “Thank you for your support and congratulations to Jeff Horn. God is good!”
Manny and Jinkee have been married since 2000. They have five children namely Emmanuel Pacquiao Jr., Michael Stephen Pacquiao, Mary Divine Grace Pacquiao, Queen Elizabeth Pacquiao and Israel Pacquiao.
On the other hand, Horn has been married since 2014 to Joanna Horn. They are expecting their first baby.
The newly crowned WBO welterweight champion is the eighth boxer to defeat Manny. The others were Floyd Mayweather Jr., Timothy Bradley Jr., Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Rustico Torrecampo and Medgoen Singsurat.
Titled “Battle of Brisbane,” the match between Horn and Pacquiao on July 2, 2017 in Brisbane, Queensland Australia was watched by approximately 60,000 boxing fans. The scorecards given by Flores, Cerdan and Roldan were widely criticized.
In favor of Horn, both Flores and Cerdan scored the fight 115-113. Roldan scored it 117-111 making the decision unanimous.

Pacquiao was born in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines and raised in General Santos, Philippines. He turned 38 on December 17, 2016.
On February 4, 2017, Horn turned 29. He was born in Brisbane, he sun-drenched capital of Queensland, Australia.
