ONE Championship‘s reigning flyweight world champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes of Brasilia, Brazil has successfully defended his title from his challenger Danny “The King” Kingad of Baguio City, Philippines. Their bout was the co-main event of “ONE: Legends of the World“.
On the evening of November 10, 2017, ONE Championship held “ONE: Legends of the World” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Yuji Shimada served as the referee of the bantamweight bout between Moraes and Kingad.
Shimada stopped the title bout was 4 minutes and 45 seconds in the first round. Moraes submitted Kingad via rear-naked choke.
Kingad trains at Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. He now has 6 wins and 1 loss while Moraes has 17 wins and 2 losses.
Moraes was with his wife during the “ONE: Legends of the World” event. It was headlined by Kingad’s Team Lakay teammate Eduard “Landslide” Folayang and Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen of Australia and Vietnam.
