ONE Championship‘s reigning interim bantamweight world champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 30, of Ifugao, Philippines will have his rematch with reigning ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 38, of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil on November 9, 2018. They will co-headline “ONE: Heart of the Lion” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore for the bantamweight title unification bout.

“Bibiano [Fernandes] is an incredible champion,” Belingon stated. “For so long I have looked up to him as a martial artist, and I have complete respect for him but I have zeroed in on facing him. He has been on my mind for more than two years now.”

Currently, Belingon is riding a six-bout winning streak. The last time he lost in the cage was on January 23, 2016 when he failed to dethrone Fernandes at “ONE: Dynasty of Champions 5” at the Helong Stadium in Changsha, Hunan, China.

In Belingon’s most recent bout, which was on July 27, 2018 at “ONE: Reign of Kings” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines, he became the new ONE Interim World Champion by defeating Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, 29, of Australia and Vietnam. The Filipino mixed martial artist said, “I’m always motivated.”

“After taking home the interim belt, I felt even more motivated because I knew I would be facing the champion soon,” Belingon said. “The Filipino fans have wanted this for so long, and it makes me happy that I can now give this to them. I feel strong and confident knowing I have their support.”

In the main event of “ONE: Heart of the Lion,” reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, 22, of Singapore will challenge reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 30, of China.
