Jekaterina Aleksejeva is a Latvian model professionally known as Kate Alexeeva. In 2013, she graduated from Riga Private Techno Linguistic Gymnasium in Riga, Latvia.

On July 14, 2017, Alexeeva represented Latvia at Top Model of the World 2017 in El Gouna, Egypt. She was unplaced.

On October 25, 2019, Alexeeva represented Latvia at Miss Grand International 2019 and competed against 59 other candidates at Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela. She was unplaced.

On December 19, 2019, Alexeeva represented Latvia at Miss Multiverse 2019 and competed against 15 other finalists at the Theater of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. She won the Miss Photogenic award and became fourth runner-up to Alyona Smirnova of Ukraine.

On October 12, 2022, Kate Alexeeva, then 28, of Riga, Latvia competed against nine other Miss Universe Latvia 2022 candidates in Riga. She won the title.

Runner-up to Alexeeva was Anastasija Aleksejevska, who was crowned The Miss Globe Latvia 2022. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Viktorija Samule, Anastasija Resetova and Liene Lei.

On October 15, 2022, Aleksejevska represented Latvia at The Miss Globe 2022 and competed against 49 other candidates at the Opera and Ballet Theater in Tirana, Albania. She finished in the Top 15.

Alexeeva was supposed to represent Latvia at Miss Universe 2022 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on January 14, 2023. However, she tested positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19) before the coronation ceremony so she had to withdraw from the competition.

It was R’Bonney Gabriel of the U.S. who won the title. The respective first and second runners-up were Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela and Andreina Martinez of the Dominican Republic.

On November 18, 2023, Gabriel crowned her successor at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador. A total of 84 women competed for the title including Alexeeva, who represented Latvia.

Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua was crowned Miss Universe 2023. The respective first and second runners-up were Anntonia Porsild of Thailand and Moraya Wilson of Australia while Alexeeva was unplaced.

This marked the third time Latvia was represented in Miss Universe. Representing the European country in the competition, Ieva Kokoreviča finished in the Top 10 in 2005 and Sanita Kubliņa was unplaced in 2006.
