Kimberlee Lynn Singler, 35, of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado, United States has been arrested in England, United Kingdom. How she managed to leave the U.S. while wanted for murder is still unclear.

Singler and Kevin John Wentz, 37, of Greeley, Weld County, Colorado are the parents of Elianna “Ellie” Wentz and Aden Wentz, who were born in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Kevin and Singler have another daughter born in 2012.

Kevin and Singler were married. They filed for divorce in September 2018 and it was approved in 2020.

Initially, a judge in Larimer County, Colorado granted Singler full custody of her three children and approved a custody plan for Kevin to visit the children at specific dates and times. This was not enough for her so she made allegations of both domestic violence and child abuse against him.

A court in Larimer County found the allegations unsubstantiated and ordered Singler to give her children to Kevin. The turnover was supposed to take place in the Colorado Springs Department’s substation in Stetson Hills, Colorado Springs on December 16, 2023 but she did not comply.

On December 18, 2023, the court granted Kevin an emergency motion for law enforcement assistance to enforce parenting time. On December 20, 2023, Singler was supposed to appear with their three children in a status conference.

However, Singler called 911 just after midnight on December 19, 2023 and reported burglary at her apartment complex on Palomino Ranch Point in Colorado Springs. When police officers arrived, they found her and her eldest child injured and lying next to Ellie and Aden, who were both dead.

Emergency responders took Singler and her first child to the hospital. Singler was seen in Colorado Springs on December 23, 2023 but she disappeared on December 24, 2023.

On December 26, 2023, a warrant was issued for Singler’s arrest on first-degree assault, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of child abuse and four counts of first-degree murder. Her bond was set at $10 million.

On December 30, 2023, Singler was arrested in Kensington, London, England without incident. On December 31, 2023, she appeared before the Westminster Magistrates Court in London for commencement of extradition proceedings.
