Chantal Elise Legaspi Schmidt, 20, of Cebu City, Philippines went to the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines to watch the Miss Universe Cebu 2024 coronation ceremony on February 3, 2024. It is the inaugural edition of the provincial beauty pageant that selects Cebu’s Miss Universe Philippines and The Miss Philippines candidates.
The ceremony was hosted by Mister World 2012 first runner-up Andrew Wolff and Miss Universe Philippines 2021 second runner-up Steffi Aberasturi. One of the 11 judges was Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup.
It was Kris Tiffany Janson who won the Miss Universe Cebu 2024 title. Also crowned were Miss Universe Cebu-Tourism 2024 Juvel Ducay, Miss Universe Cebu-Charity Nica Nabua, Miss Universe Cebu-Heritage 2024 Mary Paaske and The Miss Philippines-Cebu 2024 Natasha Testa.
Chantal Schmidt
Born in Hong Kong, Schmidt is of Filipino and German descent. Her father is from Frankfurt, Germany while her mother is from Bacolod, Philippines.
From Hong Kong, Schmidt moved to Sydney, Australia then to Bacolod. From her mother’s hometown, she moved to Frankfurt, went back to Hong Kong and moved to Cebu City.
Currently, Schmidt is pursuing a law degree via a German university’s online classes. She has a bilingual international baccalaureate diploma in German and English, which she obtained from the Cebu International School in Cebu City.
In 2017, Schmidt started modelling professionally. She is 5’10” tall.
On April 30, 2022, Schmidt was one of the 31 women who competed for the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 crown at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She finished in the Top 10.
On October 24, 2023, Schmidt represented Cebu City at The Miss Philippines 2023. It was the inaugural edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Philippines’ Miss Supranational, Miss Charm and Miss Asia Pacific International candidates.
Schmidt finished in the Top 4. It has yet to be announced which international beauty pageant she is competing in.
