At “UFC Fight Night 236”, Amil was one of the three Asian athletes on the card. He was born in Cebu, Philippines to an Indian-Turkish-English-Romanian father and a Filipino mother.

In 2002, a friend introduced Amil to Bok Fu. On November 18, 2017, he made his professional MMA debut.

Before joining the UFC, Amil competed in Dragon House, Bellator MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance. On August 15, 2023, he defeated Emrah Sonmez via unanimous decision at “Dana White’s Contender Series 2023” Week 2 in Enterprise, Nevada.
