Loma Lookboonmee, 28, of Thailand was one of the winners at the Ultimate Fighting Championship event “UFC Fight Night 236“. It is the Thai mixed martial artist’s sixth victory in the UFC, which is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
Featuring 14 MMA bouts, “UFC Fight Night 236” took place at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada on February 10, 2024. The sixth bout is a strawweight match between Lookboonmee and Bruna Brasil, 30, of Brazil.
Jason Herzog served as the referee of the fight. After three five-minute rounds, he raised the hand of Lookboonmee, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Losing to Lookboonmee downgraded Brasil’s professional MMA record to 9 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, the Thai MMA fighter now has 9 wins and 3 losses.
In 2018, Lookboonmee made her professional MMA debut and had one bout each in Invicta Fighting Championships, Pancrase and Full Metal Dojo. She had one more fight in Invicta FC on June 7, 2019.
On October 26, 2019, Lookboonmee made her UFC debut. She is the first ever Thai MMA fighter to compete in the promotion.
In the UFC, Lookboonmee lost to Angela Hill on February 23, 2020 and to Lupita Godinez on November 20, 2021. The first five UFC opponents Lookboonmee defeated are Aleksandra Albu, Jinh Yu Frey, Sam Hughes, Denise Gomes and Elise Reed.
