Aleksandra Modić, 24, of Wetzlar, Hesse, Germany will go to India soon. On February 10, 2024, she was officially appointed Miss World Germany 2024 at the Kreative Media Studios in Berlin, Germany.
Representing Germany, Modic will compete against 115 other Miss World 2023 candidates. London Live and Zee TV will broadcast the coronation ceremony live from the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India on March 9, 2024.
If Modic wins, she will be the third Miss World from Germany. The first two are Petra Schürmann and Gabriella Brum, who were crowned in 1956 and 1980, respectively.
The last time Germany placed in Miss World was in 2010 when Susanna Kobyliński finished in the Top 25. The last time the country was represented in the international beauty pageant was in 2018.
Currently, Modic is pursuing a master’s degree in international marketing at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Giessen, Hesse. She is 5’8″ tall and she is a beauty pageant veteran.
On January 5, 2017, Modic competed against 18 other Miss Hessen 2017 candidates in Giessen. She won the title.
On February 18, 2017, Modic competed against 20 other Miss Germany 2017 candidates at Europa Park in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. She finished in the Top 10.
On August 19, 2018, Modic represented West Germany at Miss Universe Germany 2018 and competed against nine other finalists at the Dormero Hotel Bonn in Windhagen, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. She was second runner-up to Celine Willers.
