Raven Hate Doctor, 18, of Palawan, Philippines is competing for the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communication at the National University in Sampaloc, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Doctor is 5’11” tall and is the youngest of the four children of Rey Doctor, who passed away in 2021, and Carmencita Hate Doctor. Rey is from Quezon, Palawan while Carmencita is from Taytay, Palawan.
On January 28, 2023, Raven won Miss Palawan Universe 2023. On April 16, 2023, she represented Palawan at Miss Rotary 2023, competed against 17 other candidates at the Maybank Performing Arts Theatre in Taguig, Metro Manila and finished in the Top 10.
Palawan is an archipelagic province founded in 1818. With a total area of 14,649.73 km2, it is the largest province in the Philippines.
The venue and date of the coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 have yet to be announced. Including Raven, a total of 55 women are vying for the title.
Representing Palawan, Raven was officially introduced along with her fellow candidates on February 18, 2024 at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Miss Universe 2021 top 5 finalist Beatrice Luigi Gomez, 28, and Ralph de Leon, 26, hosted the event, which was attended by Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, 35, Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon, 34, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, 28, and Miss Universe 2023 top 10 finalist Michelle Dee, 28.
Since 2020, Supsup-Lee has been the national director of Miss Universe Philippines. Currently, the Philippines has 27 Miss Universe placements including the coronations of Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018.
