Sydney Taylor, 23, of Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, United States has been crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2024. She is originally from Livingston Parish, Louisiana.

On June 26, 2023, Taylor was crowned Miss Lafayette USA 2023. On March 30, 2024, she represented Lafayette at Miss Louisiana USA 2024.

Including Taylor, 27 women competed for the title at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The candidate from Lafayette won the title.

On August 4, 2024, Taylor will represent Louisiana at Miss USA 2024 and compete against 50 other candidates at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California, USA. The reigning Miss USA 2023 is Noelia Voigt, 24, of Utah, USA.

Runner-up to Taylor is Hannah Fontenot. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Emily Randon, Trinitee Johnson and Anna Katherine Steckler.

This is not the first time Taylor is representing Louisiana in a national beauty pageant. On July 3, 2019, she was crowned Miss Lafayette Teen USA 2019.

On October 19, 2019, Taylor was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2020. In July 2020, she and her boyfriend Laine Hardy, the winner of “American Idol” Season 17, were diagnosed with the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

On November 7, 2020, Taylor represented Louisiana at Miss Teen USA 2020 and competed against 50 other candidates at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. She was fourth runner-up to Ki’ilani Arruda of Hawaii, USA.

Currently, Louisiana holds 29 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Eurlyne Howell in 1958, Sharon Brown in 1961 and Ali Landry in 1996. The most recent one was in 2021 when Tanya Crowe finished in the Top 16.
