Miss New Mexico USA 2021 Christa Schafer is currently based in Miami, Florida, United States. She previously lived in Texas, USA and in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA.

Christa Schafer’s career outside pageants

In 2013, Schafer graduated from Coronado High School in Gallina, New Mexico. From 2018 to 2019, she was a Walt Disney World employee.

When the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit in 2020, Schafer lost her job as a flight attendant. That was when she started pursuing her real estate license.

In September 2022, Schafer joined the American Airlines in Miami as a flight attendant. On May 25, 2024, she turned 29.

Christa Schafer’s pageant journey

On June 25, 2017, Schafer won Miss El Paso 2017 in El Paso, Texas. On January 6, 2018, she competed against 97 other Miss Texas USA 2018 candidates at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas and was unplaced.

On September 1, 2019, Schafer went back to the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel to compete for the Miss Texas USA 2020 title. She finished in the Top 19.

On August 15, 2021, Schafer competed against 32 other candidates at Miss New Mexico USA 2021 at Hotel Encanto in Las Cruces. She won the crown.

On November 29, 2021, Schafer represented New Mexico at Miss USA 2021 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort inn Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. She was unplaced.
