Michal Har’el was also known as Michal Moda’i. She was born Michal Herison in Jerusalem to Osher Samuel Zelman Herison and Zipporah Salomon.
Har’el attended Evelina de Rothschild School and David Yellin College of Education, which are both in Jerusalem. While visiting London, England, United Kingdom, she met Tel Aviv, Israel native Yitzchak Moda’i.

On May 14, 1948, Jewish Agency head David Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz-Israel to be known as the State of Israel.
On October 28, 1948, Israel’s flag was adopted. The symbol in the center of the flag represents the Star of David, which was chosen to represent the First Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland from August 29-31, 1897.
On May 11, 1949, Israel was admitted as a member of the United Nations by majority vote. On October 8, 1951, Ben-Gurion presented his cabinet for a Knesset vote of confidence. On November 19, 1951, the Knesset reelected Chaim Weizmann as president of Israel.

On September 23, 1951, Har’el won Malkat Hayofi 1951. Before this, she was Miss Jerusalem 1951.
In 1953, Har’el and Yitzchak got married. They have three children together namely Harela Moda’i, Boaz Moda’i and Galia Moda’i.
Born in Tel Aviv, Harela turned 22 on March 16, 1978. She died in a car accident in Hertzliya on June 2, 1978.
From 1996 to 2004, Har’el was the president of Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO). In 2004, she became chair of the Council of Women’s Organizations and was named an honorary citizen of Tel Aviv.
On January 17, 1998, Yitzchak turned 72. On May 14, 1998, he died in Tel Aviv.
On July 28, 2011, Har’el turned 80. On March 2, 2012, she died in Tel Aviv.
From September 2010 to September 2015, Boaz was Israel’s ambassador to Ireland. On October 16, 2019, he presented his credentials of Slovakia’s fifth president Zuzana Čaputová to become Israel’s ambassador to Slovakia.
