Who is Cassandra Chiu?
Chiu is of Chinese and Portuguese descent. She has traveled to various countries including Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea.
In November 2017, Chiu attended the 17th Macau Food Festival at the Sai Van Lake Square in Macau. On June 17, 2019, she graduated from Macau Anglican College in Taipa, Macau.
In October 2019, Chiu entered the University of Macau Chao Kuang Piu College in Lai Chi Van, Ilhas, Macau. On June 25, 2020, she tried bungy jumping at the Skypark Macau Tower by AJ Hackett in Macau.
In December 2021, Chiu attended the 24th Lusofonia Festival in Carmo, Taipa. In September 2022, she tried wakeboarding in Macau. In December 2022, she visited Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand.
On June 11, 2023, Chiu graduated from the University of Macau. On September 26, 2024, she attended the Miss Universe Hong Kong 2024 coronation ceremony at AXA Dreamland in New Territories, Hong Kong where she was officially appointed Miss Universe Macau 2024. It was Joanne Josephine Rhodes, 24, who won the Miss Universe Hong Kong 2024 crown.
On November 16, 2024, Chiu and Rhodes will represent Macau and Hong Kong, respectively, at Miss Universe 2024 and compete against more than 100 other candidates at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. This is the first time Macau is represented in Miss Universe.
Malaysian actor Kimmy Low, 39, is the national director of both Miss Universe Macau and Miss Universe Hong Kong.
