James Moody, 18, of Belfast, Northern Ireland is Northern Ireland’s Mister World 2024 candidate. He is a model and a boxer who loves poetry and he enjoys cooking, surfing and traveling.
Moody is 6’4″ tall. He is currently signed with ACA Models in Northern Ireland and he trains at the Dockers Boxing Club in Belfast.
Among the things Moody wants to do in the future are to make an expedition to the Antarctic and to run his own surf camp around the world. As part of his Mr. World 2024 participation, he is raising awareness for men’s mental health through a charitable project.
Mr. World 2024
Including Moody, a total of 75 men will compete for the Mr. World 2024 title. The coronation ceremony will be held at the NovaWorld in Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận, Vietnam on November 23, 2024.
This is the 11th edition of Mr. World. The 10th edition was won by Jack Heslewood of England at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on August 23, 2019.
Runner-up to Heslewood was Fezile Mkhize of South Africa. The second runner-up was Brian Faugier of Mexico while Carlo Franco of Brazil and Alejandro Martinez of the Dominican Republic finished in the Top 5.
Currently, Northern Ireland has two Mr. World placements. The European country was represented in the competition by Martin McHugh in 2003, Ross Lauder in 2007, Matthew Christopher Poole in 2010, Michael McCann in 2012, Dwayne-Andrew Kerr in 2014, Paul Pritchard in 2016 and Adam Stensson in 2019.
Poole finished in the Top 15. Stensson finished in the Top 12.
