Ultimate Fighting Championship athlete Myktybek Orolbai, 26, was born and raised in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz mixed martial artist trains at Uluu Kyrgyz in Osh and Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California, United States. 

Orolbai made his professional MMA debut on August 12, 2018. He was on the “UFC 308” card.

Mateusz Rebecki vs Myktybek Orolbai

On October 26, 2024, Orolbai fought Mateusz “Chinczyk” Rębecki, 32, of Szczecin, Poland at “UFC 308” at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. They battled it out at a catch weight of 160 pounds.

Vitor Ribeiro was the referee. Ben Cartlidge, Jacob Montalvo and Sal D’Amato were the judges.

After three five-minute rounds, Ribeiro raised the hand of Rebecki, who was declared the winner via split decision. Both Cartlidge and D’Amato scored it in favor of the Polish MMA fighter while Montalvo scored it 29-28 in favor of Orolbai.

The match was declared the Fight of the Night. Orolbai and Rebecki received a $50,000 bonus each.

“UFC 308” marked Orolbai’s third fight in the UFC and first loss in the promotion. When he made his promotional debut on November 18, 2023 at “UFC Fight Night 232” in Enterprise, Nevada, USA, he submitted Uros Medic of Anchorage, Alaska, USA via neck crank.

On May 4, 2024, Orolbai fought Elves Brener of Maues, Amazonas, Brazil at “UFC 301” in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Kyrgyz MMA fighter won via unanimous decision.

Losing to Rebecki at “UFC 308” downgraded Orolbai’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 2 losses. The Polish MMA fighter now has 20 wins and 2 losses.
