Miss Earth 2002 Winfred Adah Omwakwe, 22, of Kenya crowned her successor at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 9, 2003. It is the third edition of the international beauty pageant focused on environmental issues.

Miss Earth was formally launched on April 3, 2001. It was organized by Carousel Productions, an organization based in the Philippines.

Omwakwe was runner-up to Džejla Glavović, 20, of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was crowned Miss Earth 2002 at the Folk Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila on October 20, 2002. However, Glavović was dethroned on May 28, 2003 due to her failure to comply with the stipulations in her contract and was officially replaced by Omwakwe on August 7, 2003.

A total of 57 women competed for the Miss Earth 2003 crown. These were the candidates:

Jessica Schilling was born in Palm Springs, Riverside County, California, United States. On May 28, 2003, she turned 19.

On November 9, 2003, Schilling represented the U.S. at Miss Earth 2003 in the Philippines and was unplaced. On November 27, 2003, she died at a car crash in Palm Springs.

It was Dania Prince of Honduras who won the Miss Earth 2003 title. On October 4, 2008, she and Frank Fuentes got married in Miami, Florida, USA.

Prince is now a resident of Miami Lakes, Florida, which is around 2,621 miles away from Palm Springs. She turned 45 on February 10, 2025.
