Theresia Mah Awagea, 24, of Douala, Littoral Region, Cameroon won Miss Face of Cameroon 2025. This makes her the country’s Miss Grand International 2025 representative.
Douala is the largest city in Cameroon. The city is around 237 kilometers away from the country’s capital city Yaoundé.
Miss Face of Cameroon 2025
On March 30, 2025, Awagea won Miss Face of Cameroon 2025 at the Chariot Hotel Buea in Buea, Cameroon. She competed against 12 other candidates including the respective first and second runners-up Gracia Mpoula and Silatchom Anna Matta.
Baba Wakiz and Linda Ngali hosted the coronation ceremony. The judges were Cameroon Pageant Academy‘s founder Enanga Mbesa, chief marketing officer Bah Miya and chief operating officer Mosima Martin along with Miss Face of Cameroon 2023 Cameg Brenda and Miss Face of Cameroon 2024 Sharlynn Acha.
Miss Grand International 2025
Acha was unplaced when she represented Cameroon at Miss Grand International 2024, which was won by Rachel Gupta of India. Including the two, a total of 68 women competed for the title at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on October 25, 2024.
On October 18, 2025, Gupta will return to the same venue to crown her successor. Representing Cameroon, Awagea will compete against more than 70 other candidates including Magdalene Takangiro, 24, of Kenya and Anna Musonda, 26, of Zambia.
This is the 13th edition of the international beauty pageant founded by Nawat Itsaragrisil and the third time Cameroon is represented. The first time was in 2014 with Miss Prestige Cameroun 2014 Laeticia Ndzana as the country’s representative.
The Miss Globe 2024
This is not the first time Awagea is competing in an international beauty pageant. She represented Cameroon in the 21st edition of The Miss Globe.
On October 15, 2024, Awagea finished in the Top 16 at The Miss Globe 2024 at the Tirana Olympic Park in Tirana, Albania. She competed against 42 other candidates including Diana Moreno of Colombia, who won the title.
