The Kallang Group has officially launched the HSBC SVNS Singapore 2026, bringing together leaders from World Rugby, the Singapore Rugby Union, and international team captains at the Conrad Singapore Marina Bay in the Downtown Core, Marina Centre, Singapore to usher in a weekend of elite rugby sevens and family entertainment.

The event marks the first major international sporting tournament hosted under The Kallang’s updated brand identity.
“HSBC SVNS is one of the most dynamic sporting events in the world,” said Yazed Osman, Group Head of Events & Placemaking and Place Management at The Kallang Group. “As our first major sporting event under our new brand identity, this tournament embodies our vision to be the region’s leading destination for sport, entertainment, lifestyle and community events.”
“With two thrilling rounds already setting the tone this season, HSBC SVNS Singapore is set to deliver another unforgettable chapter,” added Sam Pinder, HSBC SVNS General Manager at World Rugby. “Fans can expect an action-packed match schedule featuring the world’s best rugby sevens teams, fast-paced encounters and high-stakes moments.”
The tournament draw sets up early blockbuster encounters at the Singapore National Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. On the men’s side, 2025 series champions South Africa are set to clash with returning Singapore champions Fiji. In the women’s division, reigning Singapore titleholders New Zealand face a challenging group featuring France, Canada, and Great Britain.

Team captains expressed their enthusiasm during the official launch and a ceremonial photoshoot on the pitch of the National Stadium:
“We’ve had a strong start to the season and hope to continue this momentum as we defend our men’s champions title in sunny Singapore!” shared Jeremaia Matana, Fiji Men’s Captain. “Playing in the National Stadium at The Kallang is always special as fans of all ages come out to cheer on the team – it’s easy to see why this tournament is called the ‘Family SVNS’.”
“There is a feeling of excitement as we return to the iconic National Stadium at The Kallang,” added Risi Pouri-Lane, New Zealand Women’s Captain. “There is also a sense of familiarity – seeing the landmarks like Marina Bay or Gardens by the Bay… and now getting to experience it ourselves whilst competing in the World Series is very special.”
Dubbed the “Family SVNS,” the festival-style weekend combines international rugby competition with interactive fan zones, live lifestyle entertainment, and community activities across the Kallang precinct.
