International travel and lifestyle brand TUMI has refreshed its longstanding collaboration with British luxury supercar maker McLaren, introducing new color treatments, patterns, and dynamic silhouettes to the high-performance TUMI | McLaren collection.

The latest drop brings vibrant aesthetic updates to core travel pieces through distinct patterns—including Night Galaxy, Dazzle Camouflage, and McLaren’s signature Papaya Speed. Select styles also debut a technical black-and-grey ombré finish, complementing the structured, race-inspired aesthetics that define the line.

Anchoring the collection are TUMI | McLaren’s signature luggage pieces: the Aero Extended Trip Expandable Packing Case, Aero International Expandable Carry-On, and the Aero Rolling Trunk. Each model incorporates sculpted contours, carbon fiber accents, and custom hardware modeled after modern supercar design.

Expanding beyond traditional luggage, the release also adds performance-driven backpacks, sling bags, and small leather goods to accommodate everyday travel needs.

“Our partnership with McLaren continues to evolve as we explore new expressions of performance design,” said Victor Sanz, Global Creative Director at TUMI. “With this latest collection, we wanted to bring a softer side to the McLaren range while staying true to its performance DNA. Working closely with their team and their vision of the future, we introduced technical ombré effects in black and grey and expanded key foundational pieces, while adding smaller silhouettes and new wheeled styles to strengthen the offering.”

By combining TUMI’s functional engineering with McLaren’s lightweight automotive design principles, the updated line reinforces both brands’ shared focus on precision, durability, and luxury on the move.

Founded in 1985 as McLaren Cars and relaunched in 2010 as McLaren Automotive, the British luxury manufacturer is headquartered at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England. Originating from Bruce McLaren’s racing legacy, the company is world-renowned for pioneering carbon fiber composite technology in high-performance sports cars.

The brand famously introduced the iconic McLaren F1 in 1992 and later collaborated with Mercedes-Benz on the SLR McLaren. Today, its lineup is structured across distinct tiers, including the Grand Tourer (GT/GTS), Sports, Super (750S), and Ultimate Series—which houses groundbreaking hypercars like the P1, Senna, Speedtail, and W1. The brand also offers hybrid performance with models like the Artura.

To support its custom engineering, the company operates dedicated facilities, including the McLaren Production Centre and the McLaren Composites Technology Centre in Rotherham for chassis manufacturing. As of 2024, McLaren Automotive is wholly owned by Abu Dhabi-based CYVN Holdings LLC, which merged the company into McLaren Group Holdings to expand its reach into new electric vehicle segments alongside established rivals like Ferrari and Aston Martin.
