Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 Chloe Lim has officially stepped into a key advocacy role after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Selangor at their headquarters in Ampang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
SPCA Selangor
As an official SPCA Selangor ambassador, Lim has pledged to utilize her national platform to champion animal welfare through public education, adoption drives, and community outreach campaigns.
The MOU was formally signed by Lim alongside SPCA Selangor chairman Christine Chin.
“We are delighted to welcome Chloe as our ambassador,” said Chin. “Her passion for animal rights and her ability to inspire the public have helped us reach new audiences and strengthen our cause.”

Lifelong dedication to animal rights
Lim’s commitment to animal welfare stems from a lifetime of personal experience. Raised alongside six rescue dogs and active in equestrian sports from an early age, her passion also guided her academic path—culminating in a Master of Laws degree from London, where her dissertation focused specifically on animal rights legislation.
For Lim, the title serves as a direct extension of her personal principles:
“As an SPCA Selangor Ambassador, I aim to raise greater awareness on animal welfare, encourage responsible pet ownership and inspire more people to step forward as volunteers to become a part of something greater than themselves,” Lim stated. “How we treat animals reflects who we are as a society, and I am committed to championing the well-being of animals through this role.”
Addressing animal welfare challenges
The partnership comes at a critical time for animal welfare in the country. Data from the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) shows that 19,303 animal welfare complaints were logged between 2021 and 2025, with 16,340 cases falling under the Animal Welfare Act 2015 [Act 772].
These figures underscore the mounting pressure on local shelters and enforcement agencies tackling neglect and mistreatment. Through her new ambassadorial duties, Lim aims to rally public support, promote responsible pet ownership, and drive collective action toward creating a safer environment for animals across Malaysia.

Aside from being a beauty queen, Lim is also a management consultant. She studied not only in Malaysia but also in Estonia, in Portugal, in New York, United States and in England, United Kingdom.

On November 21, 2025, Lim represented Malaysia at Miss Universe 2025 and competed against 119 other candidates at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She was unplaced.
