The MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand played host to Welcome All the Stars to Bangkok on the evening of May 19, 2026. It was the official opening salvo of the inaugural Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars pageant.

MGI All Stars breaks traditional pageant molds with its inclusive requirements:

  • Age & Status: Open to women ages 20 to 40, regardless of marital status, motherhood, or transgender identity, provided they have prior international pageant experience.
  • Country Roster: Nations can send up to five delegates. The Philippine powerhouse delegation features Miss Universe 2019 semifinalist Gazini Ganados, Miss International Queen 2022 Fuschia Anne Ravena, Noble Queen of the Universe 2025 Alexia Nuñez, Miss Earth Philippines 2016 Imelda Schweighart and 2025 Universal Woman Arabia Keylyn Trajano.

Swimsuit & star-themed runway highlights

The groundbreaking global tilt brought together 56 seasoned international pageant veterans representing 38 countries, delivering a captivating spectacle for both live spectators and online viewers.

The contestants kicked off the show with an energetic group production, strutting in stylized swimwear paired with capes, cover-ups, and dramatic styling. They later hit the runway individually and in groups of five. Among the crowd favorites was Ganados, who commanded the stage in a metallic gold two-piece by Filipino designer Julius Pegarro, expertly working a matching gold veil down the runway.

For the second segment, candidates showcased star-themed attire ranging from playful mini dresses to high-drama evening gowns. Ganados opted for a sleek, star-inspired mini dress.

Ravena wowed in a pageant-ready gown. Fresh off a Top 10 finish at the 74th Miss Universe in Thailand, Vanessa Pulgarin of Colombia glided down the runway in a fully embellished floor-length gown with a cape, holding a illuminated star.

Fan voting leaders & sashing ceremony

Online fan involvement took center stage early when the top three vote-getters for the “All Star World Famous” award were called to the front for a special spotlight moment:

  • Alexia Nuñez (Philippines)
  • Francia Cortés Sandoval (Mexico)
  • Nguyen Huong Giang (Vietnam)

Miss Grand International founder and president Nawat Itsaragrisil officially unveiled the inaugural crown before personally bestowing the contestants with their sashes. The sashes uniquely feature each candidate’s personal name alongside their national flag, rather than just their country name.

Miss Grand International 2024 Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza anchored the evening as host, making three distinct outfit changes throughout the broadcast.

Scoring system & key dates

Nawat emphasized the heavy influence fans will have on the pageant’s outcome. Scores across all rounds are split into:

  • 70% – Official Judging Panel
  • 30% – Public Fan Votes

While three fast-track spots in the Top 18 are guaranteed for the winners of World’s Choice, Best Runway and Best Portrait, public voting will also directly impact the selection of the remaining 15 semifinalists. Scores reset to zero for the finals, but the 70/30 scoring ratio remains active.

Prize & schedule

The newly crowned champion will take home a $100,000 cash prize, with the opportunity to scale her winnings up to $1 million if she successfully defends the title over two consecutive editions. The following events will be held at the MGI Hall in Bangkok:

  • May 27, 2026: Swimsuit Preliminary Competition
  • May 28, 2026: Evening Gown & “Bare Face” Preliminary Competition
  • May 30, 2026: The Grand Final
