Miss Universe Armenia 2025 Peggy Garabekian was at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, United States on May 24, 2026. She attended the 2026 Indianapolis 500, the seventh round of the 2026 Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) IndyCar Series season.

Born in Värnamo, Sweden, 2026 Indianapolis 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist turned 34 on November 7, 2025. Born in Iran to Armenian parents, Garabekian turned 31 on December 27, 2025.
2026 Indianapolis 500
The 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 concluded with the closest finish in the history of the legendary race. Rosenqvist of Meyer Shank Racing captured his first Borg-Warner Trophy, defeating Team Penske’s David Malukas by a breathtaking margin of just 0.0233 seconds.
The 500-mile spectacle at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway delivered relentless action, breaking the all-time event record with 70 lead changes. Pole-sitter Alex Palou and Scott Dixon heavily dictated the early pace, trading the lead 26 times before alternate fuel strategies shuffled the frontrunners late in the race.
Two late-race cautions and a red flag set up a dramatic, frantic one-lap shootout to the checkered flag. On the final lap, Malukas held a slight edge coming out of turn four. However, Rosenqvist executed a powerful run on the outside, timing his final pass perfectly to edge ahead at the start-finish line.
Scott McLaughlin completed the podium in third place, while Pato O’Ward and Marcus Armstrong secured fourth and fifth, respectively. Rosenqvist’s historic triumph marks the second Indianapolis 500 victory for Meyer Shank Racing, cementing the 2026 edition as an instant classic defined by strategic gambles and unmatched track drama.
Miss Universe 2025
On May 29, 2025, Garabekian competed against 20 other Miss Vizcaya Swimwear 2025 contestants during the Miami Fashion Week at Sagamore Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida, USA and won. On August 18, 2025, she served as a judge at Miss Grand USA 2025 at the Rio Showroom at Rio Las Vegas of Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
On September 10, 2025, Garabekian competed against nine other Miss Universe Armenia 2025 candidates and won the title. On November 21, 2025, she represented Armenia at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand where she competed against 117 other candidates including Fatima Bosch of Mexico who won the title.
The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Praveenar Singh of Thailand, Stephany Abasali of Venezuela, Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines and Olivia Yace of Cote d’Ivoire. Garabekian was unplaced.
