Tomas Ghigo has successfully transitioned from working as an international model to scouting models. In between those two phases, he represented Argentina in the 11th edition of Mister World.

Ghigo is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His father Tulio Ivan Ghigo is from Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.

Before becoming a model and a beauty king, Tomas was a rugby player. As a model, he worked in several countries in Asia including China, India, Malaysia, the Philippines and South Korea.

While modeling in Asia, Tomas met his fellow model Nikki de Moura. They started dating before she won Miss Grand Philippines 2023.

Tomas and de Moura visited Hong Kong, China in July 2023 and India in June 2024. While he was based in Metro Manila, Philippines with her, he was officially appointed Mister World Argentina 2024 on August 18, 2024 and he received his sash on September 17, 2024.

Including Tomas, a total of 60 men competed for the Mister World 2024 title. Hosted by Sandro Finoglio and Lương Thùy Linh, the coronation ceremony was held at the NovaWorld Phan Thiết in Bình Thuận, Vietnam on November 23, 2024.
