The Professional Fighters League (PFL) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) division has officially announced the postponement of its upcoming event “PFL MENA 10“. The highly anticipated fight card was originally scheduled to take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium Sports Hall (also known as the Indoor Arena) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
“The event has been postponed until further notice”, the mixed martial arts promotion explained in a statement. “PFL MENA is currently evaluating potential future dates and will provide updates as soon as additional information becomes available.”
“The decision is based on internal operational and event readiness considerations, as we continue to ensure the highest standards of delivery”, the statement continued. “We remain committed to hosting PFL MENA in Jeddah and look forward to welcoming fans for what promises to be another exciting night of world-class mixed martial arts action.”
“PFL MENA 10” card
Subtitled “No Fear, No Mercy,” “PFL MENA 10” was originally slated to take place on June 19, 2026. This event marked the league’s second highly anticipated trip to Jeddah, building on the success of “PFL MENA 1” back in May 2025. Fans were especially eager for the broadcast—set to air via YouTube and Vice TV—because it featured crucial structural progression for the regional expansion.
The cornerstone of the “PFL MENA 10” event was the quarterfinal matchups for the 2026 PFL MENA Tournament across two highly competitive weight classes: the welterweight and featherweight divisions. The brackets stood ready to showcase the region’s elite up-and-coming talent in a high-stakes, win-and-advance format.
In the 2026 Welterweight tournament bracket, the scheduled quarterfinal matchups included:
- Yousef Adel vs. Badreddine Diani
- Hassan Shaaban vs. Hazem Kayyali
- Wissem Akhmouch vs. Abdelkrim Zouad
- Ahmad Abdelbast Darwish vs. Omar Hussein
Meanwhile, the featherweight tournament quarterfinal pairings featured:
- Taha Bendaoud vs. Hamza Kooheji
- Elias Boudegzdame vs. Hussein Salem
- Ahmed Tarek vs. Shadi Kabbani (who entered the bracket as a replacement after Rachid El Hazoume was forced to withdraw)
- Mehdi Saadi vs. Mohammad Yahya
Beyond the tournament structure, the fight card also carried immense local star power. A featured catchweight bout at 110 pounds was prominently set to showcase the highly anticipated professional debut of rising star Hattan Alsaif. Additionally, a matchup between Malik Basahel and Imad El Azami added further depth to the showcase.
With the sudden postponement, the athletes in these brackets will have to wait a bit longer to step into the PFL SmartCage, leaving the future timeline of the 2026 tournament season temporarily on hold as executives iron out the operational logistics.
