Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 Tangia Methila took to social media on June 19, 2026 to share photos of herself taken in Istanbul, Turkiye. In the photos, she is wearing a dress from Amèlie Milano.
“From the heart of Istanbul,” Methila captioned the photo. “Taking in the beauty, the culture, and the magic of this unforgettable city.”
Methila has been wearing Amèlie Milano since 2024. The brand describes itself as a pemium Italian-Western fashion and lifestyle brand curated for women in Bangladesh who seek elegance, confidence and refined self-expression.
An elegant and confident queen, Methila was named the International Female Model of the Year at the British Bangladesh Fashion and Lifestyle Awards 2022 at The Tower Hotel in London, England, United Kingdom on December 3, 2022. She was appointed Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 at Aloki Green House at Tejgaon in Dhaka, Bangladesh on September 18, 2025.
From Dhaka to Istanbul
Born and raised in Dhaka, Methila turned 34 on January 31, 2026. Before visiting Istanbul in June 2026, she enjoyed immense success as a beauty queen and as an actor.
For travelers seeking a profound sensory experience, Dhaka and Istanbul offer two contrasting yet equally mesmerizing journeys. One thrives on raw, hyper-vibrant energy, while the other spans continents with timeless grandeur.
Dhaka is a kaleidoscope of color and motion. Known as the “city of rickshaws,” its streets hum with life. Visitors can explore the magnificent Pink Palace (Ahsan Manzil) and the 17th-century Lalbagh Fort, showcasing rich Mughal history. Modern infrastructure, like the Dhaka Metro Rail, has begun transforming this dense metropolis, allowing travelers to bypass gridlock as they glide effortlessly from the northern suburbs down to the central business hubs of Motijheel—while traditional rickshaws and wooden boats remain ready to ferry adventurers into the deeply historic alleyways and waterfronts of Old Dhaka, and modern motorized water taxis offer scenic transit across the waters of Hatirjheel.
While Dhaka captures the intense heartbeat of South Asia, Istanbul serves as the ultimate bridge between East and West. Straddling Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul is a treasure trove of Byzantine and Ottoman marvels. Iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque dominate a skyline shaped by centuries of empire. Travelers can bargain in the sprawling Grand Bazaar, hop on a scenic ferry ride across the strait, or indulge in world-class culinary experiences.
Whether navigating Dhaka’s bustling bazaars or absorbing Istanbul’s dual-continent charm, both cities promise unforgettable cultural immersion.
