Boracay is under the jurisdiction of three barangays in Malay, Aklan, Philippines namely Balabag, Manoc-Manoc and Yapak. The island is home to the White Beach, which has consistently earned accolades as one of the world’s best beaches.

Beyond its sheer aesthetic appeal, Boracay serves as a major economic powerhouse for the region, attracting millions of international and domestic travelers annually. This massive influx fuels a bustling hospitality, entertainment, and water-sports industry.

Following a high-profile, six-month rehabilitation closure in 2018 to address environmental degradation, the island successfully balanced ecological restoration with economic survival. Today, it stands not just as a premier destination for relaxation and nightlife, but as a crucial case study in how vulnerable ecosystems can be preserved through strict environmental regulations and responsible travel practices.

While Boracay is a tropical playground tailored for social travelers and sunseekers, Hua Hin offers a more relaxed, culturally rich escape. As a historic royal resort town, the latter features a long, serene coastline, night markets, and excellent golf courses, trading Boracay’s intense party energy for a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere.

Boracay captivates with its dramatic sunsets and bustling shores. Hua Hin charms with its local heritage and quiet coastal elegance.
