Bonaire, a special municipality of the Netherlands, will be represented at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico, United States by Caroline Porras, 24. It is the 75th edition of the international beauty pageant currently based in Samut Prakan, Thailand and New York City, New York, USA.
Antriol, Kralendijk
Porras is an actor and a model from Antriol, a neighborhood of Kralendijk, the capital city of the island of Bonaire. The neighborhood is located close to the Flamingo International Airport, which serves the island.
People in Kralendijk speak Papiamentu, Dutch and English. Off the coast of the city lies the uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire, which is frequented by tourists who enjoy diving and snorkeling.
Kralendijk has five villages namely Antriol, Nikiboko, Noord Saliña, Playa, and Tera Kora. Born in the city, footballer Gerritson Craane turned 32 on February 17, 2026.
Miss Universe Bonaire 2026
On July 4, 2026, Porras represented Antriol at Miss Universe Bonaire 2026 at Delfins Beach Resort at Punt Vierkant 44 in Kralendijk. She competed against two other candidates namely Vivienne Vollebregt of Kralendijk and Katherine Montero of Noord Saliña.
Porras won the title. She also won two special awards namely Miss Catwalk and Best Interview.
Vollebregt, the first runner-up, was Miss Photogenic and Miss Elegance. Montero, the second runner-up, received the Best Body award.
“Being crowned Miss Universe Bonaire 2026 is more than a dream fulfilled it is a reminder that every setback had a purpose, every tear watered growth, and every moment of doubt was preparing me for this chapter,” Porras stated after her coronation. “This crown is not proof that I’m enough. I was always enough. It simply reminds me of what becomes possible when you choose to believe in yourself, even when the path feels uncertain.”
“Growth builds character,” the newly crowned Miss Universe Bonaire 2026 continued. “Courage is created by showing up, especially when you’re scared. Keep learning, stay open minded, and never stop investing in yourself. Love yourself enough to keep believing in your potential.”
Miss Universe 2026
On November 21, 2025, Nicole Jo-Ann Visser Peiliker represented Bonaire at Miss Universe 2025 and competed against 119 other candidates at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She was unplaced.
In November 2026, Porras will represent Bonaire at Miss Universe 2026 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She will compete against more than 120 other candidates including the following:
