Avila

Perched high in the undulating landscapes of Castile and León, the province of Ávila is a mesmerizing pocket of central Spain where deep-rooted history, striking architecture, and wild nature converge. The crown jewel of the province is its namesake capital city, famously cradled by one of the world’s best-preserved medieval enclosures.

To the south, the landscape of the province dramatically shifts into the rugged peaks and glacial lagoons of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range. This area is a haven for hikers, mountaineers, and wildlife enthusiasts hoping to spot the Iberian wild goat.
