Baguio City, Philippines is represented at Mister World Philippines 2026 by Raymond Paris Cabuco, 24. It is the second edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Mister World candidate of the country.
The Philippines has yet to win Mister World, which is based in London, England, United Kingdom. The country’s highest placement in this international beauty pageant was the first runner-up finish in 2012 by Andrew James Peñaflorida Wolff. His mother Dorina Peñaflorida is a nurse from Oriental Mindoro, Philippines, which is around 700 kilometers away from Baguio.
Mister HRAB 2025
Cabuco is a singer with a bachelor’s degree in tourism. He is an alumnus of Legacy Christian Academy and the University of Baguio, which are both in Baguio City.
On September 5, 2025, Cabuco was introduced as one of the 11 Mister Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) 2025 candidates at the W.C. Forbes Ballroom of the Baguio Country Club in Baguio City. Their coronation ceremony was held at the Cordillera Convention Hall of Baguio Country Club on September 30, 2025.
Among the judges were Miss Universe Philippines Organization president Jonas Gaffud, Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida, Miss Universe 2019 quarterfinalist Gazini Ganados and Mister Supranational 2025 fourth runner-up Kenneth Cabungcal. These were the winners:

Mister World Philippines 2026
On July 1, 2026, Cabuco was officially sashed as a Mister World Philippines 2026 candidate representing Baguio City at The Collab at Sheraton Manila at the Newport World Resorts in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The event was hosted by Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez.
The coronation ceremony will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on July 25, 2026. Aside from the main titleholder, seven other winners will be crowned including the Philippines’ representative to Mister Glam International 2026.

From Baguio to the world
Baguio City was one of the places Armi Kuusela visited in the Philippines as part of her world tour as Miss Universe 1952. The city is also home to Kirk Bondad, who was born in Germany to a German father and an Igorot mother.
On November 23, 2024, Bondad represented the Philippines at Mister World 2024 and competed against 59 other candidates at NovaWorld in Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận, Vietnam. He finished in the Top 20.
In 2017, Baguio City made history when it became the first in the Philippines to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network. Designated under the Crafts and Folk Art category, this title honors the vibrant indigenous weaving, woodcarving, and metalcraft traditions of the Cordillera region, which thrive alongside contemporary art scenes like the annual Ibagiw Creative Festival. Building on this legacy, the city expanded its global footprint by joining the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities, a distinction celebrating its integration of ancestral heritage, educational institutions, and digital innovation to foster lifelong learning.
Beyond culture, Baguio is internationally lauded for its visionary urban planning and resilience. The city recently secured a Certificate of Achievement at the Tehran Golden Adobe Global Awards for its groundbreaking “Digital Twin Initiative” and Livability Index, highlighting its commitment to data-driven smart governance. These layered global titles prove that the city is no longer just a cool mountain getaway—it is a recognized hub of modern sustainability and cultural preservation.
