Angela Magenda Pitao Aumonier, 25, of London, England, United Kingdom will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico, United States. It is the 75th edition of the international beauty pageant currently based in Samut Prakan, Thailand and New York City, New York, USA.
Aumonier is the public health researcher who founded the Marsha’s Hope Foundation, a women’s health charity focused on awareness, early intervention, and advocacy around women’s cancers. It was inspired by her late aunt who died of ovarian cancer.
In 2016, Aumonier started moving back and forth between the U.K. and the Philippines. She was born in Northern Ireland, U.K. to an English father and a Filipino mother.
From 2019 to 2022, Aumonier attended the University of Exeter in Exeter, Devon, England where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise science. From 2022 to 2023, she attended Imperial College London in London where she earned a master’s degree in epidemiology.
Miss Mandaue 2024
On May 4, 2024, Aumonier competed against 11 other Miss Mandaue 2024 candidates at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex in Mandaue City, Philippines. The winner and the runners-up were:
- Miss Mandaue 2024: Stefanie Przewodnik
- 1st runner-up: Angela Aumonier
- 2nd runner-up: Kylah Mae Dela Peña
Dela Peña was Miss Congeniality and Aumonier was Miss Photogenic. The latter also won the Media’s Choice and Best in Swimwear awards.
Miss Cebu 2025
On January 15, 2025, Aumonier competed against 11 other Miss Cebu 2025 candidates at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines. The winner and the runners-up were:
- Miss Cebu 2025: Christine Escanilla
- 1st runner-up: Angela Aumonier
- 2nd runner-up: Maijezel D. Sarcol
- 3rd runner-up: Tatiana Shantal A. Benedetti
- 4th runner-up: Kiara Liane Wellington
Wellington won the Miss Friendship award. Aumonier received the Miss Photogenic award from Macy’s Camera Shop.
On January 28, 2024, Escanilla represented President Carlos P. Garcia, Bohol, Philippines at Miss Universe Bohol 2024 and competed against 18 other candidates at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran, Bohol. She ranked third and was named the first runner-up.
Miss Universe 2026
On July 11, 2026, Aumonier represented London at Miss Universe Great Britain 2026 and competed against 40 other candidates at The Riverfront in Newport, Wales, U.K. She won the title.
Alisha Cowie of Morpeth and Brooke Smith Utting of Norwich finished in the Top 3. Leigh Hutchinson of Worcester and Olivia Horton of Cheshire finished in the Top 5.
Representing Great Britain, Aumonier will compete against more than 120 other Miss Universe 2026 candidates at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico in November 2026. Among her fellow Asian candidates are:
