Iddo Goldberg is one of the stars of “The Odyssey”, an epic action fantasy film written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film was released in the United States and the United Kingdom on July 17, 2026.
Nolan was born in London, England, U.K. He will turn 56 on July 30, 2026.
From Haifa to London
Goldberg was born in Haifa, Israel to Jewish parents. His mother is from Jerusalem, Israel while his father is a native of Riga, Latvia.

In June 2012, Goldberg married Madekwe. She was born in Mile End, London to a Nigerian father and an English mother.
On August 5, 2026, Goldberg will turn 51. On December 6, 2026, Madekwe will turn 43.
“The Odyssey“
Horgen, Switzerland native Hoyte van Hoytema was the cinematographer of “The Odyssey”, which was edited by Jennifer Lane, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The film starred Goldberg as Amphimedon, one of the suitors of Penelope, played by Anne Hathaway.
Robert Pattinson, Corey Hawkins, Niko Nicotera, Elyes Gabel and Jamie Harris play the other suitors of Penelope. Also in the cast are Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Samantha Morton as Circe, John Leguizamo as Eumaeus, Zendaya as Athena, Charlize Theron as Calypso, Jon Bernthal as Menelaus, Himesh Patel as Eurylochus, Elliot Page as Sinon, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon and Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra.
The film was shot in Greece, Iceland, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, the U.S. and Western Sahara from February 25, 2025 to August 5, 2025. Claimed by Morocco and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Western Sahara is designated by the United Nations as a non-self-governing territory.
