Zambia will be represented in Mister Supranational for the first time. Based in Poland, it is an international beauty pageant founded by Gerhard Parzutka Von Lipinski in 2016.
Luay Latif
Luay Latif Kalisilira was born in Zambia to an Egyptian father and a Zambian mother named Clara Kalisilira. The father left when Clara was only 1 month pregnant with Luay.
As a single mother, Clara raised Luay in Kabwe, Zambia. In 2022, he moved to Lusaka, the capital city of the country.
In 2023, Luay met his father for the first time. Unfortunately, the latter rejected the former.
On May 10, 2026, Luay represented Lusaka in the inaugural edition of Mister Supranational Zambia and competed against nine other finalists at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. He emerged as the winner.
Shortly before winning Mister Supranational Zambia 2026, Luay graduated from high school. He plans to pursue a career in engineering.
Luay describes himself as a very innovative person. He explained, “I love to fix things. I grew up with my granddad who taught me how to work on a lot of things — how to work on cars, how to work on machines, and he also deals in furniture, as well.”
An advocate for mental health awareness through sports and physical activity, Luay considers basketball as something that changed who he was as a person. He shared, “I was unhealthy before I started, and once I started that, it really helped me pursue different things as well — not only in the sports section, but mentally as well, just overcoming fitness challenges and just becoming better over time.”
Mister Supranational 2026
On July 7, 2026, Luay turned 19. On August 1, 2026, he will represent Zambia at Mister Supranational 2026 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland.
Including Luay, a total of 41 men will compete for the title. Here are his fellow candidates from Africa:

- Marcel Roux, 28, South Africa
Aside from being the only teenager competing for the Mister Supranational 2026 title, Luay is also the tallest candidate. He is 6’7½” tall.
From Lusaka to Nowy Sacz
Situated in vastly different climate zones while sharing the same time zone corridor (UTC+2) for seven months of the year, Lusaka and Nowy Sącz showcase contrasting urban histories and cultural landscapes. While the former functions as a fast-growing 20th-century African metropolis, the latter stands as a centuries-old European trade town.
Lusaka’s modern origin dates to 1905 as a railway siding built by the British South Africa Company, named after the local Soli Chief Lusaaka. It gained formal township status in 1913 and replaced Livingstone as the capital of Northern Rhodesia in 1935. Today, Lusaka District spans approximately 418 square kilometers and holds a population of roughly 2.2 million residents according to the 2022 census (with over 3 million in the broader province).
In contrast, Nowy Sącz is a historic city in southern Poland’s Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Founded on November 8, 1292, by King Wenceslaus II of Bohemia, it remains the only Polish town established by the Bohemian monarch. Covering approximately 57 square kilometers with over 80,000 residents, it historically served as an important trade post along routes to Hungary.
