Juan Daniel Naranjo López, 26, has been officially sashed in Poland as Cuba’s Mister Supranational 2026 representative. In his acceptance speech, he expressed his excitement to stand on the international stage.

Naranjo proudly highlighted his roots. He reminded everyone that he comes from Cuba—the beautiful, vibrant island in the Caribbean Sea.

If Naranjo wins, he will be the pageant’s second Cuban winner. The title was won by Diego Garcy of Mexico in 2016, Gabriel Correa of Venezuela in 2017, Prathamesh Maulingkar of India in 2018, Nate Crnkovich of the United States in 2019, Varo Vargas of Peru in 2021, Luis Daniel Galvez of Cuba in 2022, Ivan Alvarez Guedes of Spain in 2023, Fezile Mkhize of South Africa in 2024 and Swann Lavigne of France in 2025.

Naranjo was born and raised in Cuba, which he describes as an island where life is simple but deeply meaningful. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public health with a specialization in epidemiology.

“My path has expanded into entrepreneurship, modeling, and cultural storytelling”, Naranjo shared. Hailing from Playa, Havana, Cuba, he is not only an epidemiologist but also an actor, a model and a tourism curator.

“As I move through Havana, I don’t just see streets; I see resilience in architecture, music living in every corner, and people who continue forward with strength and dignity,” Naranjo said. “Cuba is a country of contrasts, where beauty and struggle coexist, shaping a unique identity that cannot be imitated. From vibrant neighborhoods full of life to quiet streets that hold deep history, every corner reveals something real. I use my voice to show Cuba beyond stereotypes.”

Coming from Cuba, Najanjo has learned that storytelling can transform perspectives and he carries that responsibility with pride. For the beauty king from Playa, the Mister Supranational competition means connection beyond borders—a platform where culture, respect, and humanity become a universal language.

Mkhize and Lavigne won Mister Supranational at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sacz, Małopolska, Poland on July 4, 2024 and June 28, 2025, respectively. Cuba was not represented in both editions.

On July 21, 2026, Lavigne sashed the Mister Supranational 2026 candidates at Hotel Krakow in Krakow, Poland. He was accompanied by the reigning Miss Supranational 2025 Eduarda da Silva Braum, 25, of Brazil.

On August 1, 2026, Lavigne will go back to the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater to crown his successor. Mkhize and Ida Nowakowska of Poland will host the coronation ceremony, which will feature performances by FiśBanda, Mateusz Ziółko, Oktavvia and Tatiana Okupnik.
