Sunoshini Dhanabalan, 23, is a fashion model from Malaysia. The country has 13 states namely Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor and Terengganu and three federal territories namely Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.
Dhanabalan will represent the country at Miss Grand International 2026. It is the 14th edition of the international beauty pageant based in Bangkok, Thailand.
On August 22, 2024, Melisha Lin represented Selangor at Miss Grand Malaysia 2024 at the Galaxy Banquet Hall of the HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur and won the title. On October 25, 2024, she represented Malaysia at Miss Grand International 2024, competed against 67 other candidates at the MGI Hall in Bangkok and finished in the Top 10, making her one of the five fifth runners-up.
On July 30, 2025, Viviana Lin Winston represented Sarawak at Miss Grand Malaysia 2025 at the Galaxy Banquet Hall of the HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur and won the title. On October 18, 2025, she represented Malaysia at Miss Grand International 2025 and competed against 76 other candidates at the MGI Hall in Bangkok.
Emma Tiglao of the Philippines won the title. Winston was unplaced.
Miss Grand Malaysia 2026
On July 23, 2026, Dhanabalan represented Negeri Sembilan at Miss Grand Malaysia 2026, competed against 11 other candidates at Confetti KL in Seri Kembangan, Selangor and won the title. Her custom-made crown was crafted in the Philippines.
Runner-up to Dhanabalan was Vyan Trisni of Selangor while Gracelyn Tigang of Sarawak was the second runner-up. Finishing in the Top 5 were Daniellyn Tan of Sabah and Dr. Vaishanavi Siva Kumar of Selangor.
The coronation ceremony was hosted by Lin, who is also the national director of Miss Grand Malaysia. Tiglao attended the event and assisted Winston in crowning Dhanabalan.
Miss Grand Malaysia 2023 Kash Bhullar and The Miss Globe Malaysia 2024 Lee Min Qi served as judges. Joining them in the selection committee were Malaysian Beauty Pageant Fan Club co-founder Edwin Richard, Double Event Management founder and president Faiz Noh, Yonsei Saebom Medical Clinic Asia chief executive officer Kim Dong Gyun and Goddess of Nature Malaysia co-founder Riesa Anne.
Miss Grand International 2026
In October 2026, Tiglao will crown her successor in India. The exact date and venue of the coronation ceremony have yet to be finalized.
