70000TONS OF METAL, The Original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise, has officially announced a historic performance for its 2027 voyage: RHAPSODY Final Shows, featuring the iconic classic lineup of Fabio Lione and Luca Turilli.
RHAPSODY Final Shows
Outside of their exclusive run in Latin America, these special shows aboard 70000TONS OF METAL will mark the only time anywhere in the world that fans can experience this legendary classic lineup on stage together. Joining them on the high seas is German power metal titan PRIMAL FEAR, marking their long-awaited return to the cruise for the first time since 2018.
Monumental farewell, power metal revival
Originally planned as an exclusive tour for Latin America—where the symphonic metal pioneers delivered monumental “Greatest Hits” arena shows across Mexico and Chile—the RHAPSODY Final Shows feature the long-anticipated reunion of Fabio Lione, Luca Turilli, Patrice Guers, Dominique Leurquin, and Alex Holzwarth. This historic voyage will be the final opportunity for international fans outside Latin America to witness this specific lineup live.
“70000TONS OF METAL is unlike any other festival in the world,” said Luca Turilli. “To bring Rhapsody – The Final Shows aboard this incredible ship is an honor for all of us. These concerts are about celebrating the music, the memories, and the journey we’ve shared together for so many years. We can’t wait to perform these songs with our exceptional reunited classic lineup surrounded by thousands of passionate Metal fans in the middle of the ocean. It will be an unforgettable chapter in our final adventure. See you on board!”
“It gives me tremendous pleasure to have Luca Turilli AND Fabio Lione together with RHAPSODY playing their only Final Shows anywhere outside Latin America except for these two exclusive performances on 70000TONS OF METAL 2027!” added Andy Piller, CEO and Skipper of 70000TONS OF METAL. “This is what The Original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise is all about: Unique moments, writing Heavy Metal history. Being with our global Metal family, all on one massive ship, peaceful, together, and in unity! We are the United Nations of Heavy Metal at Sea.”
Rounding out the high-energy announcements, PRIMAL FEAR—formed in 1997 by vocalist Ralf Scheepers and bassist Mat Sinner—brings over 25 years of blistering, riff-heavy metal back to the ship, reaffirming their status as the gold standard of true heavy metal.
