Gabriel Castañeda, 35, was officially sashed as the Mister Supranational 2026 representative of Mexico at Hotel Krakow in Krakow, Poland on July 21, 2026. If he wins the title, he will be the pageant’s second Mexican winner.

Mister Supranational was founded by Nowa Scena president Gerhard Parzutka Von Lipinski. The title was won by Diego Garcy of Mexico in 2016, Gabriel Correa of Venezuela in 2017, Prathamesh Maulingkar of India in 2018, Nate Crnkovich of the United States in 2019, Varo Vargas of Peru in 2021, Luis Daniel Galvez of Cuba in 2022, Ivan Alvarez Guedes of Spain in 2023, Fezile Mkhize of South Africa in 2024 and Swann Lavigne of France in 2025.

Coming from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Castañeda is especially proud to represent a place known for its traditions, music and identity. At Mister Supranational 2026, he expects to challenge himself, grow as a person, and take advantage of the opportunity that the platform represents.

Since 2016, Castañeda has been working as a professional model. He also works as a producer from time to time and he is currently involved in a project related to sustainability.

Aside from modeling, Castañeda also loves sports, outdoor activities and spending time in nature. He said he grew up in a family that has always been connected to country life and farm work.

“Mexico is a country full of culture, passion, and a lot of traditions,” Castañeda said. “What I love most about our country is the warmth of the people and the way we always try to make everybody feel like home.”

On December 13, 2025, Castañeda represented Guadalajara at Mister Jalisco 2026, competed against four other candidates at Auditorio Nexus in Guadalajara and won the title. On April 18, 2026, he and 31 other Mister Supranational Mexico 2026 candidates competed for two crowns at the Dion live Center in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Castañeda won the top title. Also crowned was Mister World Mexico 2026 Sergio Ángel Castro Grijalva.

On July 4, 2024, Mkhize won Mister Supranational 2024 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sacz, Małopolska, Poland. He competed against 35 other candidates including Zait Reza of Mexico, who finished in the Top 10.

On June 28, 2025, Lavigne won Mister Supranational 2025 at the same venue. He competed against 37 other candidates including Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, who was the second runner-up.

On August 1, 2026, Lavigne will go back to the same venue to crown his successor. Mkhize and Ida Nowakowska will host the coronation ceremony.
