Roxana Perla Ngouadi, 24, is set to make history as the first-ever beauty queen to represent the Republic of the Congo in Miss Grand International. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, the international beauty pageant was founded in 2013 by Nawat Itsaragrisil, a native of Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi, Thailand.
Ngouadi is from Brazzaville, the capital city of the Republic of the Congo. Also known as Congo-Brazzaville, the country is bordered to the northwest by Cameroon, to the northeast by the Central African Republic, to the west by Gabon, to the southeast by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the southwest by the Atlantic Ocean and to the south by Cabinda, Angola.
Kinshasa is the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which is also known as Congo-Kinshasa. Separated by the Congo River, Brazzaville and Kinshasa are the closest pair of national capital cities in the world by proximity.

Miss Grand Republic of the Congo 2026
On August 2, 2026, Ngouadi won Miss Grand Republic of the Congo 2026 at the Embassy of the Republic of the Congo in Paris, France. On October 10, 2026, she will represent the Republic of the Congo at Miss Grand International 2026 in India.
For Ngouadi, receiving the title of Miss Grand Republic of the Congo 2026 is an immense point of pride. Upon receiving the title, she said, “It is much more than a crown placed on my head.”
“It is recognition, an honor, and above all, a commitment that I take on with pride,” Ngoaudi continued. “For me, this title is a platform—one that will allow me to represent my country, its culture, its beauty, but also its realities on all the stages that will open up to me. Wearing this sash means accepting new responsibilities and understanding that from today onward, people’s eyes are upon me, and I must remain worthy.”
As Miss Grand Republic of the Congo 2026, Ngouadi sees herself as someone who not only embodies Congolese beauty but also presents a cause that is deeply close to her heart, a reality that many cross paths with without ever truly seeing. She explained that her initiative Des Enfants Invisibles (Invisible Children) gives a voice to all those children who live on the streets: neglected, left to fend for themselves, without direction, and sometimes without an identity.
“While traveling in Congo, I witnessed this reality firsthand,” Ngouadi shared. “I saw their eyes, their fears, their silence, their struggles and above all, their strength and courage. Through this project, I want to organize solidarity initiatives to collect donations, support, and supplies for Le Cœur de Paola orphanage.”
“My objective is simple: to take action and raise awareness among as many people as possible to restore hope to these children because they too deserve to be seen, heard, and loved,” Ngouadi continued. “When I represent Congo internationally, I won’t just carry a crown and a sash; I will carry a mission—to amplify the voices of those who are not heard. I want to thank the Miss Grand Congo committee for their trust. I thank my family, my loved ones, and everyone who has supported me from the start.”
