Holly Helena Huber, 26, of Juneau, Alaska, United States recently made history. She became the first Miss Alaska USA winner from the capital of the state.
Miss Alaska USA 2026
When Huber competed at Miss Alaska USA 2020 in Anchorage, Alaska on November 2, 2019, she was unplaced. On August 3, 2025, she represented Glacier Bay at Miss Alaska USA 2025 and competed against seven other candidates at the Recital Hall of the University of Alaska Anchorage in Anchorage.
Kelsey Craft won the title while Regina Catherine Welch, Rori Van Nortwick and Malaynee White were the respective first, second and third runners-up. Huber was the fourth runner-up.
Including Welch, Van Nortwick, White and Huber, 11 women competed for the Miss Alaska USA 2026 title on June 28, 2026 at the Glenn Massay Theater of the University of Alaska in Palmer, Alaska. With Dr. Kevin J. Wade, an educator, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, as the head judge, the panel of judges included business development specialist Danica Pel, “Big Brother” Season 23 winner Xavier Prather, Miss Juneau Volunteer 2026 Lillian Thorington and Polynesian Association of Alaska president and chief executive officer Lusiana “Lucy” Tuga Hansen.
At the end of the ceremony, Craft crowned Huber as her successor. Runner-up to the winner from Juneau was Chelsea Burke.
The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Haley Tyler, Honour Miller-Austin and Jordan Flippo. Welch, Van Nortwick and White were all unplaced.
Miss USA 2026
Born in Kellogg, Idaho, USA and raised in Pinehurst, Idaho, Huber moved to Juneau with her family in 2012. She attended Juneau-Douglas High School and Thunder Mountain High School, which are both in Juneau, and studied finance at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, USA and fashion marketing at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, USA.
From 2022 to 2023, Huber served as the director of communications at ASJ Marketing in Los Angeles, California. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Western Governors University in Millcreek, Utah, USA.
On August 27, 2026, Huber will represent Alaska at Miss USA 2026 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida, USA. She will compete against 50 other candidates including Acacia McBride, 28, of California, Jaeden Hamelly, 30, of Connecticut, Aileen Cerchiara, 26, of Florida, Katie Tetreault, 30, of Idaho and Alayzia Christopher, 30, of Utah.
The winner will represent the U.S. at Miss Universe 2026. If Huber wins, she will make history as the first Miss USA from Alaska.
