HAAi has dropped her latest single, ‘Ignition” featuring Echonomist. The track serves as the newest preview of her dancefloor-focused album “DIGITiSE”, arriving October 9, 2026, via Mute Records.
“Ignition’ delivers a driving, high-energy blend of crystalline synth work, four-to-the-floor dynamics, and broken-beat rhythms.
- Personal Storytelling: HAAi describes the track as a deeply personal coming-of-age narrative reflecting her youth as a queer kid in a small town eager to break free.
- A Narrative Sequel: Functioning as a direct follow-up to “Go!” from her previous record “HUMANiSE”, the track bridges her personal story to the dance floor.
- Collaborator Insight: Greek producer Echonomist shared that the two instantly connected over a shared musical language, noting that HAAi’s passion for breaks inspired the song’s initial direction.
The single follows the release of the album’s title track featuring long-time collaborator Pat Alvarez.
“DIGITiSE“
Originally intended as an extension of 2025’s “HUMANiSE“, the project rapidly expanded into a standalone, full-length LP. HAAi refers to “DIGITiSE” as its predecessor’s “bigger, ravey sibling,” designed explicitly for club environments and all-night DJ sets.
- Themes of Connection: While “HUMANiSE” touched on digital dystopia, “DIGITiSE” focuses on human connection, community, and unity on the dance floor as an antidote to the divisions caused by rapid technological acceleration and AI.
- Collaborative Roster: The project features returning collaborators (Pat Alvarez, ILA, James Massiah, Kaiden Ford) alongside new voices, including Echonomist, Skybreak, and Cantoalegre—a children’s choir from Medellín, Colombia.
- Seamless Continuity: “DIGITiSE” directly picks up where “HUMANiSE” left off, transitioning the choir performance from the previous album’s fade-out into the new record’s opening track.
- Creative Direction: Visuals for the era are led by Martin Falck (“Fever Ray”, “The Knife”, “Icona Pop”), bringing a campy, playful contrast to the themes of the music.
Drafted while on a heavy touring schedule, the album was refined in real time as HAAi tested unreleased tracks during her DJ sets—a strategy highlighted during her stint as Beatport’s Artist of the Month in June 2026.
Following intimate previews at London’s Courtyard Theatre and a performance at the Royal Albert Hall, HAAi will continue her live and DJ dates into late 2026. These special performances feature custom lighting concepts by engineer Belinda Best, designed to create fully immersive spaces for audiences.
