Luren Leticia Márquez Canales, 27, will represent Peru in an international beauty pageant again. Aside from being a beauty queen, she is also a television presenter and a model.

Luren Marquez

Originally from Ica, Peru, Marquez is now based in Miami, Florida, United States. She worked as a television presenter for Telemundo and Univision.

On February 3, 2018, Marquez represented Ica at Miss Teen Peru Universe 2018 and competed against eight other candidates in Lima, Peru. She was third runner-up to Nicolle Tassara and was crowned Miss Teenager Perú International 2018.

On July 7, 2018, Marquez represented Peru at Miss Teenager Internacional 2018 at the Centro Empresarial Las Cámaras in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She finished sixth.

On February 29, 2020, Marquez competed against 10 other Reina del Festival Internacional de la Vendimia Iqueña 2020 candidates at the Coliseo “León Piedra” del I.E. “San Luis Gonzaga” de Ica in Ica and won the title. She was crowned by Miss World 2004 María Julia “Maju” Mantilla García, who was one of the judges.

Miss Universe 2026

On June 8, 2024, Marquez represented the Peruvian community of the U.S. at Miss Peru 2024 and competed against 34 other candidates at the Fortaleza del Real Felipe in Callao, Peru. She finished third and was named the first runner-up.

The title was won by Tatiana Calmell of Talara. In second place was Sofia Cajo of Ica, who was crowned Miss International Peru 2024.

On April 15, 2026, Marquez was officially appointed Miss Universe Peru 2026 in a special ceremony at the Teatro Municipal del Callao in Callao. The event was attended by Miss Universe Peru 2025 Karla Bacigalupo and the reigning Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch.

In November 2026, Marquez will represent Peru at Miss Universe 2026  at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, USA. She will compete against more than 100 candidates including Tamara Rogouski, 28, of Argentina, Mariale Acosta, 24, of Costa Rica, Greatha Matiauda, 25, of Paraguay, Lucía Piñeyro, 35, of Paraguay and Clara Vegas, 24, of Venezuela.
