New Zealand will be represented at Miss International 2026 by Allison Eve Roa Sauz, 20. It is the 64th edition of the international beauty pageant based in Tokyo, Japan.
Allison Sauz
Sauz was born in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines to Albert “Abet” Sauz and Lhen Roa Sauz. The family later moved to New Zealand where they are now based.
From 1991 to 1996, Abet attended Don Bosco Technical College in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. In 2006, he joined Microsoft Philippines as a premier field engineer.
In April 2011, Abet left Microsoft Philippines and joined Microsoft New Zealand in Auckland, New Zealand as a premier field engineer. He has been a senior cloud solution architect in the same company since September 2025.
Allison is a dancer, a choreographer and a part-time Chemist Warehouse pharmacy assistant. On July 8, 2026, she will turn 21.
Miss International 2026
On June 6, 2026, Allison competed against nine other Miss New Zealand 2026 candidates at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna, Auckland. She was runner-up to Chloe Robinson.
As the main titleholder, Robinson was crowned Miss World New Zealand 2026. On the other hand, Allison was crowned Miss International New Zealand 2026.
On November 25, 2026, Allison will represent New Zealand at Miss International 2026 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo, Tokyo. It is the 64th edition of the international beauty pageant organized by the International Culture Association.
Including Allison, more than 80 are expected to compete for the title. Among her fellow candidates are Kimleang Sokea, 26, of Cambodia, Nicole Alia Ke’ala Kāhealani Sakaguchi of Hawaii, United States, Clarisse Achard, 25, of Hong Kong, Victoria Veronica Titisari Kosasieputri, 26, of Indonesia, Michiru Yakuwa, 25, of Japan, Khuslen Shirendev, 23, of Mongolia, Katrina Anne Castañeda Johnson, 28, of the Philippines and Khánh Như Lê, 22, of Vietnam.
If Allison wins, she will become the second ever Miss International from New Zealand. The first one is Jane Cheryl Hansen, who won the title at the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium in Long Beach, California, USA on May 26, 1971.
